5. Billing, Payments, and Fees

5.1 Service Fees

All fees for Services are stated on our website and are subject to change with 30 days notice. Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes, duties, and government-imposed fees unless otherwise stated.

5.2 Billing Cycles

Services are billed on the cycle selected during purchase (monthly, quarterly, annually, etc.). Billing occurs in advance for the upcoming service period. Failure to pay by the due date may result in service suspension or termination.

5.3 Payment Methods

We accept major credit cards, debit cards, PayPal, and other payment methods as displayed during checkout. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees to your payment method.

5.4 Automatic Renewal

Unless you cancel before the end of your billing cycle, your Services will automatically renew at the then-current rates. You are responsible for ensuring your payment information remains current and valid.

5.5 Late Payments and Suspension

If payment is not received by the due date, your account may be suspended. We may charge late fees and interest on overdue amounts. Services suspended for non-payment may be permanently terminated after 15 days, and all data may be deleted.

5.6 Taxes and Duties

You are responsible for all applicable taxes, including VAT, GST, sales tax, and customs duties. We may collect and remit taxes as required by law. Tax-exempt customers must provide valid exemption certificates.

5.7 Price Changes

We may change pricing for Services with 30 days advance notice. Price changes will take effect at your next renewal. Continued use of Services after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

6. Refund and Cancellation Policy

6.1 Money-Back Guarantee (Hosting Services)

New hosting customers may request a full refund within 30 days of initial purchase. This guarantee applies only to hosting services (shared hosting, VPS, dedicated servers) and excludes domain registrations, SSL certificates, setup fees, and add-on services.

6.2 Domain Registration Refunds

Domain registrations are generally non-refundable due to registry fees. However, we may issue refunds for domain registrations within 5 days if the domain has not been used and no DNS changes have been made, minus applicable registry fees.

6.3 SSL Certificate Refunds

SSL certificates are non-refundable once issued. Refund requests must be submitted before certificate issuance.

6.4 Cancellation Process

You may cancel Services at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting support at support@globalhostia.com. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of the billing period.

6.5 Termination by GlobalHostia

We reserve the right to terminate Services for violations of these Terms, non-payment, or any legitimate business reason with appropriate notice. Terminations for Terms violations may occur without refund.

6.6 Data Retention After Cancellation

Upon cancellation or termination, your data will be retained for 15 days. After this period, all data, files, databases, emails, and backups will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. You are solely responsible for backing up your data before cancellation.

7. Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Uptime

7.1 Uptime Guarantee

We strive to maintain 99.9% network uptime for our hosting services (excluding scheduled maintenance). Uptime is measured monthly and excludes planned maintenance windows announced at least 24 hours in advance.

7.3 Credit Requests

SLA credits must be requested within 7 days of the end of the affected billing period. Credits are issued as account balance and cannot be redeemed for cash.

7.4 Exclusions

The SLA does not apply to downtime caused by: scheduled maintenance, issues with your website or applications, third-party services or APIs, force majeure events, DDoS attacks, your violations of these Terms, or factors outside our reasonable control.

8. Data Backup and Recovery

8.1 Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your data, files, databases, and configurations. While we may provide backup services as a courtesy or as part of certain service plans, these backups are NOT guaranteed and should not be relied upon as your primary backup solution.

8.2 Backup Services

If backup services are included in your plan, they are provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or availability of backups. Backup retention periods vary by service plan.

8.3 Data Recovery

Data recovery from our backups may incur additional fees and is subject to availability. We do not guarantee successful data recovery in all cases.
